12-week bumpdate

Yesterday, I was officially 12 weeks pregnant! I was so happy that Ryan was still around for that little milestone because this is the last progress picture he’s going to be able to take for a long while. Last night, he confessed that he hopes I have “a big ‘ol belly” when he comes home, and I’l admit – I wouldn’t mind actually looking pregnant, too! My next OB appointment is tomorrow, so hopefully it will all be good news 🙂

^^^ not entirely certain what this face is…maybe it’s my ‘I have no makeup on…is this necessary? face.”

How far along: 12 weeks

Gender: We’re not finding out!

Weight gain: Nothing…Weight, as usual depends on whether I’m able to poo or not. However, when I can (which is getting better, by the way), I haven’t gained anything.

Maternity clothes: None. I’ve started wearing looser tops though, as evidenced by my shirt above. Tight things aren’t too comfortable anymore.

Stretch marks: Not on my stomach. My boobs, however, grew a cup size in 12 weeks. There are tiny little lines on them. Belly, however, is golden.

Belly button in or out: In

Sleep: I’m sleeping great! If I drink too much water too late, I have a trip or two to the bathroom, but otherwise I’ve been golden!

Best moment this week: The best moment is yet to come. Another OB appointment tomorrow and getting to hear the peanut’s heartbeat.

Miss anything: Food. I don’t really have anything specific I want, I’d just like to eat with abandon again.

Movement: Nope.

Cravings: Ice and ice water. Yes, I am aware this is often a sign of iron deficiency in pregnant women, so I’ll be addressing it with my doctor tomorrow, especially since I have no appetite whatsoever. I am not concerned, since I think it’s in large part because of the heat here in AZ.

Food aversions: All meat and eggs, really. They don’t make me nauseous anymore, but I just have no desire to eat them.

Looking forward to: Hearing baby’s heartbeat tomorrow and getting an update on our progress! I’m also counting the days till Ryan’s home…I’ll be 17 weeks!
