this man

Before I say anything else in this post,

I just want to thank you all for your incredibly sweet words about my last post.

I appreciated them more than you know, and I will strive to be better in expressing my joy about this time.

Back to the meat of this post though,

I can’t believe that it’s time for Ryan to head off to WOCs for 5 whole weeks.

In the grand scheme of the Army, training, hardship tours and deployments,

this is really nothing…but right now, I have to say that it feels like an eternity.

Having lived most of our dating lives long-distance, it seems cruel to be separated once again!

And yet, while I’m sad for myself right now,

I’m so very, very excited for Ryan because this is huge step up in his career – and one he’s been chasing for a while.

I know he’s nervous about all the ‘what-ifs’, but I have no doubts at all in my mind.

He will succeed…and it will be a life-changing time for him.

He’s one of the strongest, most determined, most incredible men I know, and I’m so proud of him.

Here’s to five weeks of Ryan chasing his dreams,

and me…eagerly anticipating his return (for 3 weeks…before he heads back for 8 more weeks).

If anything, this time apart will just make me appreciate him more than ever,

and for that, I’m eternally grateful 🙂
