29 week bumpdate

I can’t believe I’m 29 weeks today. I feel bigger than ever, but I have to say that I also feel pretty darn awesome these days for being less than 3 months (hopefully) until nugget decides to make his or her grand entrance. With Ryan finally home, we’re starting to slowly but surely get things in order, but it’s amazing how much we still have to do. Babies are a lot of work, people…and this one isn’t even born yet.

^^^ selfies. so attractive. my apologies.

How far along: 29 weeks

Gender: We’re not finding out!

Weight gain: 9 lbs…I actually lost a few pounds in the past week, and I’ll definitely be asking my OB about that next week. 9 lbs might not seem like a ton, but it feels like a ton.

Maternity clothes: I wear my maternity jeans and shorts these days, but I mix between pre-prego tops and maternity tops. I also love, love, love wearing maxi dresses and leggings with tunic tops. They’re keeping me sane.

Stretch marks: None. I swear by pure coconut oil twice a day. I rub it all over my boobs, belly, back and sides, and it seems to be doing the trick thus far.

Belly button in or out: In, though that little indent over my belly button is a strange phenomenon.

Sleep: Still hit or miss. I usually fall dead asleep from about 9:30 to 12:30, then I wake up to go to the bathroom, go back to sleep, then wake up at 3:30 and 5:30 again – right until I wake up to work and Ryan leaves for PT.

Best moment this week: Ryan came home!!! Not much can really trump that, guys.

Miss anything: I miss my old body. I know this sounds silly and ungrateful and cliche, but it’s so weird being in a body that’s so foreign to me. I love it, but it’s strange.

Movement: Baby Moore is a mover. Every time I get up to use the bathroom at night, baby wakes up and kicks. When I have breakfast, baby kicks. When I eat dinner, baby does barrel rolls. I’ve noticed that the longer I sit, too, the more baby moves. I think he/she is getting cramped in there.

Cravings: Ice water, cheese, smoothies and applesauce….annnnnd hot chocolate

Food aversions: Eggs and avocado. I’ve been adding a little more red meat into my diet slowly to boost my iron, and I seem to be surviving.

Looking forward to: I have my next OB appointment this coming Wednesday…so crazy that they’re every two weeks now! Also, Ryan and I scheduled his hospital tour (blergh, I’ve seen it), as well as our childbirth classes. AND, we have our Arizona baby shower next weekend, as well as my parents coming to town. Busy, busy, busy!
