Today, I’m linking up with Jessica over at The Newly since Christmas is almost upon us! I decided to go ahead and share my ultimate running wishlist because, let’s be honest, Christmas is about practical gifts lately. There was a time when gifts were about extravagance as a child, but now, it’s about functionality (for the most part, of course!)
Since I plan to run through this whole pregnancy, I really need to up my running apparel and gear game if I want to keep going though. I found that when I was pregnant with Spencer, my running tights didn’t stay up, my shorts were too snug and I just didn’t hydrate enough. I compiled a list of some gear I think will keep me comfortable, hydrated and going through the next 25 weeks.

// An Aquazinger – This awesome gem is designed to help you drink more water while reducing food cravings. Plus, it will help you replenish your electrolytes by infusing fruit flavors into your water. You can add everything from cucumbers, to lemons and limes, to mint and basil. I think it will help convince me to keep drinking.

// Yurbuds – I’ve seen these highly recommend by runners, and I’m intrigued! I usually rely on my trusty Apple earbuds that came with my iPhone, but Spencer thinks they’re tasty now, and they tend to short out on runs. Plus, if it’s raining or snowing outside (and I actually manage an outdoors run), they short out. I hear that Yurbuds don’t, and I really need my music to keep going.

// Maternity Support Belt – I didn’t have one of these when I was pregnant with Spencer, and as my belly grew, the pressure on my bladder became too much to bear. A running blog I followed recommended this highly, with or without the top strap, to reduce that extra pressure, and I’m sold. I want to run consistently, and if these keeps the pressure on my back and bladder manageable, sign me up, please!

// Long Tops & Compression Bottoms – I managed to squeeze into my old faithful Nike Pro capris last time in Arizona, but the waists never stayed up, and I felt super uncomfortable. My tops fit, but they felt weird on my growing belly, so I’d like to get some long tops and proper maternity active wear like these from Old Navy this time around to accommodate the changes.
I’m sure my list will grow & change as I move along with this pregnancy, but it’s important to me to stay as active as possible this time around. I lost 20 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight after having Spencer, and I don’t want to squander that! So, here goes nothing 🙂
