It’s no secret that I love Amazon. Like, a lot. I’ve done posts about my Amazon favorites before, and I absolutely love sharing what we love with other people – as well as the odd cautionary tale, too – of course. In the case of this post though, I wanted to share five things we’ve recently bought and loved on Amazon, just in case there’s other people out there doing research just like us. Ranging from kids’ clothes to homegoods, beauty products, and beyond, here we go…
1 //Oaki Kids Rain Coats
I cannot say enough good things about the Oaki Kids Rain Coats. When we moved to the PNW in June, I knew we were in for rain – and lots of it. I did a lot of research, and I debated between a few different brands. These kept showing up on every Amazon search I did though, and I’m glad! They’re 100% waterproof, machine washable, have an attached hood, easy snaps for on-and-off, and a super-soft cotton/polyester lining. I sized up, though they’re true to size, and got the boys each the navy and green jacket. They love it, and so do I. Next up, we’re buying boots!
2 // Active Wow Activated Coconut Charcoal Powder
I’m an avid coffee drinker, friends. It’s the bane of my existence, but I was raised by a Dutch mother, so I blame her. Regardless, it does a number on my teeth, and I like to prevent staining. However, I also have sensitive gums, so white strips tend to leave my mouth feeling too sore for comfort. I saw Active Wow Activated Coconut Charcoal Powder on Amazon, and I was intrigued, and with a price point under $20, I figured, why not? It’s super easy to use, tasteless, and I just use it twice a day for 60-90 seconds when I brush my teeth. I seriously see a marked difference in two days. Worth it.
3 // Tot Tutors Kids’ Toy Storage Organizer
Toddlers and preschoolers are messy, and it doesn’t matter how much cleaning up and cleaning out we do, we have a ton of toys. I’ve been looking for storage solutions for a while now, and while I love the aesthetics of our old baskets in the bookshelf, it made for huge messes when the boys wanted to play, which plagued my OCD mind. I found the Tot Tutors Kids’ Toy Storage Organizer, and even though I usually err on the side of neutral furniture, I figured the bright colors were great for the boys’ playroom. It’s durable, was so easy to put together, and the boys actually love how easy it is to clean up (and so do I!)
4 // Knorr’s Aromat Seasoning
I remember growing up and thinking my Oma and mom were the best cooks (spoiler alert: they really were). However, over time, I learned one of their biggest secrets. Instead of using plain old table salt, they used a nifty seasoning blend from Knorr called Aromat. It’s amazing. It’s got a little zing, plenty of salt, and a whole lot of flavor. My boys love it when I season burgers with this stuff, and since I can’t find it in stores stateside, Amazon to the rescue.
5 // The Keto Reset Diet: Reboot Your Metabolism in 21 Days and Burn Fat Forever by Mark Sisson
Ryan actually found The Keto Reset Diet first and ordered it before he left for his TDY to Alabama when we lived in New York. He loved it so much that he bought it for me, and I have to say that it’s one of the most informative, well-done keto books that I’ve read. If you’re looking to learn more about the science behind keto, the reasoning, the true nature of ketosis, and more, this should be your go-to guide. For those curious, no, I’m not eating keto whilst pregnant. Honestly meat and fats make me sick right now, and I just want sugar. So, baby gets what baby wants. But when I get back to it, this will be my companion.
Have you tried any of these things? Do you have any current Amazon finds or recommendations?
