It’s been a crazy four-day snowed-in weekend here in the PNW, but it wasn’t entirely without its perks, too! The boys and I had time to really spend together hunkered down in the house, I had time to focus on packing and moving prep, and we received some great news yesterday – finally! Guys! We were finally offered a house on base, and it’s in the perfect timeframe. I mentioned the other day that we were blessed to be able to break our lease through an SCRA (military – more on that later) clause, but we knew our timeline would be hit or miss based on baby being due early April.
Needless to say, the good news has come in spades, and this nesting mama has been scouring for all the home inspiration lately. I know it seems a bit trite at this point, but I love farmhouse decor, and lately, I’ve been having an awesome time scouring for Amazon farmhouse decor. There are so many plusses: affordability, the speed of delivery (thank goodness for Prime!), and quantity of items. While I love a good one-off find, too, these Amazon farmhouse decor pieces are all budget-friendly and totally on my list to use for our new home, which I can’t wait to share soon.

Decorative Throw Pillow Covers
I love throw pillows…probably too much, really. But, lately I’ve loved buying the inserts and just buying the covers. It’s cost-effective, and it’s a great way to change out some decor easily. These ones have the cutest pom details, and I love that crisp color.

Distressed Metal Dining Chairs
We bought an Amish-made hardwood dining table with benches when we lived at Fort Drum, but we’re still using our old tables’ hardwood chairs. I love mixing metals and wood, and I love the distressed white of these. Plus, the price can’t be beaten!

Hanging Coffee Rack
I have a love/hate relationship with coffee mugs. I love them, but I hate having them cluttered in shelves. Plus, we have a bunch of cute ones I’d love to display. This is a great way to keep them organized and out in the open in a cute, functional way.

Distressed Floating Wood Shelves
I’ve been wanting to add some greenery to our home to really brighten and lighten things up, but my cats are a$sholes who like to eat any and all plants. I love the idea of these hanging/floating shelves to add some petite greenery in a cuter way.

Rustic Tin Wall Shelves
Bathroom storage always seems to be an issue for us. I hate clutter under the counter, and I despise medicine cabinets. I want things to be accessible and functional. These shelves offer the best of all worlds, and they’re pretty darn cheap, too.
One of the reasons we’ve always stayed away from military housing is because it’s very cookie-cutter. However, I think it’ll be a lot of fun to have time really transform this base house into a home for the next two to three years. I’ll definitely be buying all these amazon farmhouse decor options once we’re in our new home, and I can’t wait to share little snippets of the transformation over time.
Do you buy decor or furniture online? What’s your favorite of all of these options – you can say nothing!
