It’s that time of year again! ‘Tis the season to dig deep and design the best holiday cards ever. I’m always notoriously behind with sending our Christmas cards, but with our trip to South Africa on the horizon, I knew I needed to get my act together this year.
I don’t know about you, but I have a love/hate relationship with designing our Christmas cards. I always put this undue amount of pressure on myself and, though I know what photos we’re using, the addresses, and all, I still haven’t pressed that proverbial “order now” button. Why, you ask? There are just so. many. choices! I’m amazed by how many platforms are available today to help you design the best holiday cards. What’s more? Most of them have some amazing savings right now. So, in an effort to help both you and my procrastinating self, I’m rounding out the best places to design your holiday cards this year (and savings, to boot!) Ready?
Shutterfly
This is your go-to shop for all things photo, and I’m not just talking about photo cards. From photo books to pillows, blankets, and beyond, Shutterfly has it all. They also have some amazing options for holiday cards, including foil, minimalist designs, textures, and beyond. You can even do folded cards, which are becoming increasingly popular! – Take 50% Off Storewide, No Code Needed
Basic Invite
You may remember that I’ve used Basic Invite in the past to design my business cards, and I loved them! Despite the name, they do more than just provide invites. We got a nice, clean minimalist card through them for Christmas last year, and it was such a simple process. Best of all? They shipped fast! – 30% Off Holiday Cards with Code HOLI30
Minted
Let’s be honest. Minted is one of the biggest names in greeting and holiday card design. These independent artist-sourced designs are available for purchase year-round, and if you’re looking for something bold and beautiful, trust me, they have it. Foil is big for them this year, and it’s definitely reflected in their savings onsite. – 15% Off Through 11/19 with Code MERRY19
TinyPrints
TinyPrints is part of the Shutterfly brand and offers its own range of Christmas and holiday cards, as well. Their prices are competitive, as are their styles. Choose from design elements like personalized foil in three colors, or upgrade your cards with Signature Smooth Cardstock, one of the slickest print papers there is. – 40% Off Foil & Glitter, 30% Off Everything Through 11/19 with Code SPARKLE40
VistaPrint
Best known for their business products including business cards, marketing materials, and signage, VistaPrint also has its own range of holiday and seasonal cards. I was surprised to see some of my favorite designs from other sites echoed here with extremely competitive prices. Best of all, they have some great deals. – Free Foil Upgrade through 11/18 & 50% Off with Code FAMILY50
Simply to Impress
Their slogan is simple. “Unique. Affordable. Simply Impressive.” They had me at affordable…amiright?! But seriously, Simply to Impress has an extremely simple user interface, a full range of Christmas and holiday cards, and tons of chic options including 2019’s most popular element – foil. Sort by the amount of photos you want, greeting, and more. It’s super easy. – Savings By Volume: 50% Off $100+, 40% Off $50+, 30% Off Everything; Free Shipping with Code WLXR33
Snapfish
Honestly, before diving in, I’d never heard of Snapfish, but they have an awesome selection of Christmas and holiday cards. Again, they have foil with which you can customize your cards, and they have an option for cards I hadn’t seen elsewhere – Seal-and-Send Cards. These are oversized cards that you simply fold, seal, address, and send. Insane, right?! – 60% Off Sitewide with Code SPARKLE6019
My other best tip is to use Postable! It’s a free service where people can submit (and later update) their own addresses each year! We download an excel file, upload to our chosen card designer, and voila! Instant mailing addresses.
