You guys, I blinked and Daylight Saving Time is coming…thank goodness! Don’t get me wrong. I’m not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep or convincing my children that bedtime is still a thing. However, spring forward is that first real tangible taste of spring for me with those longer hours, daylight in the evening, and just the overall sense that spring and summer are coming. Needless to say I can’t wait. Oh, and for those of you who aren’t yet aware, we spring forward on Sunday. You’re welcome! Today, I’m linking up with Anne in Residence again for her fun monthly feature, Currently. So, let’s dive in!

Currently: The March Edition

Currently Fixing // I’m finally tackling the hot mess that is our garage, so I guess you could say I’m fixing our veritable hoarder stash from our last PCS and move. Ryan and I have big plans to get rid of all the “fluff” in there and swap it out for real necessities – like a treadmill and an elliptical – but doing so means clearing out the excess. So, I’m planning a bulk trash pickup, fixing the chaos that is our garage, and prepping to make it a useful place again!

Currently Hearing // Alllllll the things about coronavirus. I won’t get into it in depth here but there’s been a mad panic out here in Washington State due to the cases of COVID-19, and lots of stores (like Costco) are selling out of the essentials, like toilet paper and such. Here’s the thing. We’re hearing all the doomsday scenarios, but I’m choosing to err on the side of sanity here. While, yes, certain elements are serious – like the rapid spread – we’re holding fast to our everyday healthy habits like washing our hands and choosing not to panic like the rest of the state. So, yes, we’ll still be exploring 😉

Currently Borrowing // Ryan’s green hoodie is mine every time he leaves on a TDY, and since he’s currently gone, it’s been a seriously heavy rotation. Is it just me, or do they just generally make men’s clothing more comfortable than women’s? I love his fluffy fleece Patagonia hoodie, and though it’s about 400 inches too long, I’m okay looking like a hobbit if I’m comfy in the evening.

Currently Feeling // All the emotions about Mieke’s first birthday fast approaching. We knew that three babies was our number to have ourselves, but something about the finality of it all – the final firsts – has been making my heart just ache the past few weeks. It’s the end of an era, and while it’s beautiful watching my babies grow, it’s also bittersweet. Those feelings can’t be overlooked, and I’m doing my best to honor them.

Currently Recommending // Lately, I’ve been doing my best to err on the side of positivity, and I’m recommending all the fun things to do around JBLM even while spring waits to rear her head. We’ve been going on a lot of adventures, and even though JBLM isn’t my favorite duty station, I’ve worked hard to enjoy my time here, so I’m recommending a lot of fun events, places to go, and things to see as the season changes…like the last of the season’s snowplay areas!

I hope you all have an absolutely fantastic weekend ahead as we spring forward (if you do in your neck of the woods!) Tell me though…what’s new for your version of Currently: The March Edition? I’d love to hear!
