Happy Friday, friends, and happy two week till Christmas countdown! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a holiday. I think we could all use a little break now that we’re nearing the finish line of this marathon of a year. It’s been a busy week for the Moore family (yes, that includes me), and the nonstop pace has me craving each weekend more than ever. Nevertheless, it’s been a good one, too, though, and big changes are coming soon for us. Today, it’s time for another installment of Wins for the Week. Ready?
Wins for the Week
1 // I sent out my Christmas cards – finally!
For the third year in the row, I chose to use Basic Invite for our Christmas cards, and we arrived them a few weeks ago. In true procrastinator fashion, however, I took my sweet time to get them all out the door and finally did it yesterday. Side note – if you haven’t started using Postable yet for all your holiday card addressing needs (and more), you need to. Like, now.
2 // The boys mailed their Christmas letters to Santa
At this point, you might have seen my reel on instagram where I showcased some of our neighbors’ Christmas lights vs. our sad little Charlie Brown tree. Well, those same neighbors had a Santa letter drop in their front yard, and the boys have been begging to drop off their letters to Santa. So, we finally did! Better yet, they both got letters back, which clearly made their week. Also, I got our 2020 commemorative ornament. Please continue scrolling if you hate smutty words!
3 // I got my new military ID
Okay, I know this doesn’t sound too exciting, but any time you have to go to DEERS to do anything, it’s a hassle. My military ID was set to expire this month though, so we knew we had to get it done, even though I’ll have to get a new one when Ryan promotes next summer. After two trips (because the certificates didn’t transfer, and I set off the gate alarm) back and forth, I have a new ID.
4 // We’re (hoping to) rent snowshoes this weekend
We still don’t have snowshoes. I know. We fail. BUT they are on my Christmas list this year! Either way, we’re planning a snowy adventure this weekend and, barring any issues, we’ll need snowshoes to traverse our escape. I’m excited to explore the snowier side of Washington again tomorrow and spend a day away from the rain.
5 // I started my own photography page on Facebook
Okay, I’m honestly still nervous sharing these things, but I decided to take the plunge and start my photography page on Facebook. I’m still learning and growing, but I wanted to have a dedicated place to share the photos beyond those of our family, so there you have it!
With just a couple weeks until Christmas and plenty to do before we “make the season bright,” I’m excited to stay busy in anticipation of a fun holiday ahead. In the meantime, I’m having fun planning out my end-of-year content for the blog, which started with Life Lessons from 2020 yesterday. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Tell me – what are some of your wins for the week
