Happy Friday, friends! And a super happy belated Valentine’s Day! I had every intention of blogging more than once this week, but life got away from me (yet again). It was a surprisingly busy week between juggling the kids’ school, modeling jobs, freelance work, and my photography picking up. Honestly though, they’re all good things because it feels a little bit like things might be returning to a semblance of normalcy…and I am here for it. Life lately in February feels like we’re on the cusp of spring, and that gives me hope for good things to come!
Life Lately in February
I got to do a group Peloton ride with my ladies from JBLM
The time difference here is insane, and one of the weirdest things about military life is having friends stationed all around the world. We had an amazing group of ladies in Washington, and we’ve all kind of scattered the globe. One is in Chicago. One is in Boston. One is in Hawaii. A few are still in Washington. Well, we found a time, and we did a group ride together! It was almost like the old days…except less margaritas and more fatigue.
Spencer is on a huge sign in the mall
A while back, Spencer did a job for New Balance Kids here. We see their photos online a lot, but it was so neat (and so different!) to see a life-size Spencer in the store in the mall! I can’t wait to take him to see it in person because it was so fun to see it whilst shopping for new kids’ sneakers!
Porter celebrated his 100th day of school
Sadly, the schools have strict mitigation measures in place, so there were no costumes because of masks, and there was no food because, well, Covid. Either way, they got to have a party, make 100-day crafts, and celebrate the milestone in style. He’s been looking forward to this one, so I’m glad he got to experience it (especially if we homeschool next year).
The AQI is better lately
Our AQI the past couple weeks has been absolutely awful – hovering around 200-300. The past couple days, however, we’ve had nearly blue skies, and our AQI has been around 100, which is honestly palatable! As spring and summer comes though, I’m SO ready for better air quality!
Ryan has a long weekend – and we have adventures planned
One of our biggest decisions through ROM was to plan as many outdoor adventures as possible. Seoul is still off limits and because of continued Covid precautions, most indoor activities are still a little tricky to maneuver. So, it just furthers our agenda to do more and see more outside. Any guesses where we’re going this weekend?!
Life lately in February feels good…better at least. January was a really hard month, and I was so done with it. February wasn’t much easier, but it feels like we’re starting to turn a corner to better days, and I’m so ready for it!
Tell me – do you have any fun plans ahead for this weekend?
