my honest review of walker family goods

walker family goods review

For the past year or so, I’ve been on the hunt for a couple good bags. As a family, we try to invest in good, quality luggage and gear whenever possible, and we’ve been slowly replacing our suitcases in advance of this upcoming move. I’ve also been on the hunt for two specific things though. First, I wanted to replace my old, shapeless Vera Bradley duffel with something more durable for upcoming travels. Second, I needed a new cross-body bag because I’ll never be a purse girl, and I needed something functional. Somewhere along my search, I stumbled across Walker Family Goods and, after purchasing a couple items, I’m sharing my honest review of Walker Family Goods and their products.

What to Know About Walker Family Goods

First and foremost, Walker Family Goods is a family brand with firm roots in family travel and a heart of adventure. I like to think that’s who we are, in a nutshell, too. And, when push comes to shove, we’re always looking for great products and great gear to go along on all our crazy adventures – wherever those might be.

Walker Family Goods’ foundation is functionality, durability, and convenience for all ages. Their products dip into the roots of simple, everyday adventures, and they offer everything from duffel bags to carry-on rollers, backpacks, packing cubes, laundry bags, and more for all ages.

My Favorite Products from Walker Family Goods

I’ve had the same crossbody bag from Uniqlo in Korea for the last few years, but it was finally on its way out, so I really wanted to get a sturdy, durable, and cute one to replace it. I picked the Louie Sling in Lavender for two reasons; it can be worn two ways (across the chest or like a fanny pack) and it has sturdy, dedicated pockets, which my old crossbody didn’t. I love it because it is so sturdy. I can fill it with all the essentials – wallet, phone, chapstick, and sunglasses, and it’s never bulky.

Ryan gifted me my second Walker Family Goods product for Christmas – the Valley Duffel Bag in Safe. I was drawn to this bag, particularly, because it’s the perfect carry-on size, can be worn like a backpack, and is super durable. It has five exterior pockets, five mesh interior pockets, a built-in laundry spot (which was perfect for our overnight stay in Seattle), and built-in dividers that can lay flat when not needed. I love that it’s big like a duffel but wearable like a backpack, and it’s something that Ryan would be comfortable wearing/carrying, too.

My Honest Review of Walker Family Goods

Let me caveat this by saying my review is not sponsored in any way. We just love sharing the products and gear that works for us, and Walker Family Goods’ products work. I’ve seen their gear floating around Instagram for about a year, and I’m so glad that I finally bit the bullet and dove into their lineup of products. I use my Louie sling every day, and the compartments keep everything right where I need them. It’s lightweight, durable, and the perfect fit for what I need.

If you’re looking for durable, wearable, comfortable travel gear, whether for an overnight, a weekend, or longer, Walker Family Goods absolutely has a lock on the things we love. If you’re interested in taking a peek, check out Walker Family Goods‘ products. They’ve redesigned overhyped travel gear into products that are simpler, made of great materials, and are functional for the long run. Basically, I’m obsessed.
