Oh hey! Hi! Hello! I think it’s safe to say that this has, without a doubt, been the busiest two months of our lives since welcoming our twins, Samson and Gideon. We’re still honestly working on finding our daily rhythm, but I think we’re turning a corner on keeping them on a schedule of sorts. So, halfway through the month, here I am to share Currently, the December 2025 in Korea version. We’re sharing what we’re loving, hoping, doing, wearing, and seeing this month.
December 2025 in Korea
Loving // I’ve really been loving the luxury of having Ryan home with us for the last 10 weeks. For Spencer and Porter’s births, Ryan was allowed three weeks of leave, and when Mieke was born, Ryan only returned briefly from his deployment overseas, then he didn’t see her (or us) for another 8 months. This is the longest we’ve spent together as a family, uninterrupted, and it’s been so sweet. And, honestly, I probably would’ve died without him here. Twins are crazy.

Hoping // I don’t know if I’m hoping for too much! We’ve been so blessed this year, and if I’m hoping for just one thing, it’s that our babies will drop their early morning feed and get down to just that one wakeup in the middle of the night. Cross your fingers for us, as Ryan’s going back to work after Christmas.
Doing // I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping. We’re replacing the kids’ wardrobes because they’ve all grown so much, and I just bought our Christmas cards…finally. We actually used Postable this year to make and send our cards, and I’m so glad we opted for this route because it was seriously like pressing that proverbial “easy” button. Who has the time to sit down and address dozens of cards with twin newborns in the house?!

Wearing // I’m finally wearing my old wardrobe again! I ended up losing a butt ton of weight through my pregnancy, so when the babies were born, all the pregnancy weight that I gained just melted off. That being said, I’m soooo weak, so don’t call me too lucky!
Seeing // Gah. Guys, we’re just so happy to be back in South Korea. Truly. We’re seeing all these old familiar places, people, and sights, and I was fully prepared for it to not be as good as we remembered. But it is. It’s so, so good to be back. We miss our family in the US, of course, but we so rarely saw them anyway, so this doesn’t feel all that different.
December 2025 in Korea has been one of change, a lot less sleep than last year, and all sorts of creature comforts that we know and love. I’m so grateful for all my people and so excited to dive into 2026 with joy. What are you currently loving, hoping, doing, wearing, and seeing this month?
