This is it, friends! It’s the final day of the year here in South Korea, and wow. It’s been a busy year. When I think of the blur of the last few months, it’s easy to forget just how much we’ve done and seen in the past year, but we did a lot. It’s time for my favorite post of the whole year though, as we share our 2025 in numbers, rounding up what we’ve done, where we’ve been, and what we’ve accomplished as a family.
Our 2025 in Numbers
19 // The number of videos we posted on our YouTube channel this year! We started it just before New Year’s last year, and we had big goals for 2025. Admittedly, some of those goals took a backseat as we PCSed, welcomed twins, and found our footing again, but I’m proud of what we’ve shared and accomplished thus far. If you like YouTube, please give us a like and subscribe for more in the coming year.
182 // The number of miles I ran this year. It was far less than previous years, but between Alaskan winter, finding out I was pregnant with twins, moving to South Korea, and getting pneumonia, I’m honestly glad I even managed that many. We snagged a used double BOB jogger though, and I see many miles in our future as a family of seven.
2 // The number of babies we welcomed this year. Samson and Gideon were born on October 16th, making them the final (yes, absolute final) missing pieces to our not-so-little family. We’re sleep-deprived and so in love with these little gentlemen.

11 // The number of years Ryan and I have been married. We’ll celebrate our 12th anniversary in just a handful of days, and I love this life we’ve created together. It’s loud, and messy, and chaotic, and wild, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.
17 // The number of years Ryan has been in the Army. We’re in the home stretch here! He has about three more years, then he’ll retire out of Camp Humphreys. We found out a few months ago that he made the promotion list, so he’ll pin this summer with his final rank before retirement.
7 // The number of times we fished in 2025. Porter and Ryan also went on an awesome fishing charter to Busan this past summer, which was Porter’s first time ocean fishing here in Asia. He loved it, so I see a lot more fishing trips in his (and our) future.

36 // The number of posts I wrote this year. Honestly, I’m bummed about this one. I love this blog, and I love this space, but it took a back seat this past year. Don’t worry though – I’m not going anywhere, and I’m excited to share more in the coming year as we continue our adventures abroad, visit the US, and navigate our life as a big family in Asia.
2 // The number of countries we visited this year. I went to the Czech Republic in February, and we moved back to Korea in May. I think we’ll be getting a few more stamps on our passports soon though, and we’ll be breaking in the babies’ passports before you know it!
2025 was a big year for our family, especially after a long, hard 2024. I’m excited to see what 2026 holds in store for our family. We’ve come a long way in the 13 years of this blog, and our hearts are so, so happy to be back in this country we love so much. Thank you for sharing in this journey with us, and thank you for always following along. Happy New Year!
