You know, I had the highest of hopes about posting once a week (at least) this year, but I think it’s safe to say that I’ve failed in that regard just two months into 2026. Wild, right? Honestly, having twin babies has tested and stretched both Ryan and myself in ways I never thought possible and, while it’s incredible, but most of my “outlets” have taken a backseat these past months. We have a good family rhythm now though, and I’m loving watching the babies learn and grow while February in Korea just sort of trucks along. So, since it’s been a hot minute, we’re going to do a little “life lately,” according to my iPhone.
Life Lately: February in Korea
The babies hit four whole months this past Monday! It seems like both yesterday and years ago that they were born. If you ask me about those first weeks of their life, it feels almost like a fever dream, and I still don’t know that I’ve quite processed their twin birth story. I don’t know that I ever will, but I’m endlessly grateful that they’re here and that they’re healthy.
We’re homeschooling and, while we have a good rhythm down, it’s been a delicate balancing act between activities, language classes, my photography, sports, and the all-too-necessary baby naptimes. The twins are starting Korean daycare in March though, and it will be both a beautiful blessing and a bittersweet day, I’m sure. We’re excited for the boys to be fully immersed in Korean life and language as infants, but we’ll miss those daily miniscule moments. I keep reminding myself it’ll be good.

We’ve enjoyed slower paced weekends on the whole, but we’ve taken a few good local adventures as a family lately, including a trip up to Seoul to venture to a Harry Potter-themed cafe for Spencer, which he absolutely loved, as well as the Pyeongchang trout festival a few weeks ago! It’s been good to flex those adventure muscles again, and I remind myself that each time just teaches the twins more about how we get out and do stuff as a family.
And, speaking of adventures, we’re planning a vacation back to the US this summer! It’s funny to think about vacationing in the US and thinking of Asia as home, but that’s really how it is these days. We’re hoping to spend a few weeks in New Hampshire and Maine, soaking up a New England summer, spending days in the lake, and loving time with Oma and Opa (and any other family that comes to see us!)

I also have a birthday next week, which is insane. It’s a big one; 4-0. I can’t believe I’m this old but goodness, I feel it these days! Honestly, we find ourselves sitting in gratitude pretty often for the opportunity to be here again and to raise two more little humans. It’s not lost on us how lucky and blessed we are.
